We are partnering with an organization whose vision is to see prayer teams cover 172 prominent cities in a particular part of the Middle East with on-the-ground prayer. These are cities who have little if any gospel witness. Come pray, asking God for people of peace, and “plowing the spiritual field”, with the desire to ultimately see a church planted in that city. You’ll do orientation with a long-term team in a nearby major city and then take local transportation to a more remote part of the country. Once settling in you’ll spend three to four days strategically prayer walking the city and creating a prayer ‘map’ of where you’ve walked. There will be very few Western amenities and few English speakers which will create the perfect environment to depend on the Lord’s leading throughout your time. After those few days you’ll return to the major city and debrief with the long-term team, passing along your prayer map and any contacts you made in the prayer city. You’ll return home with the knowledge that you may have been the first people to pray to Jesus in that particular city and that any church that forms there in the future will be traced back to these first prayers.
