When and how did the Lord save you?
The Lord saved me at the age of five. Even at a young age, He convicted me of my sin and showed me that I couldn't be good enough on my own and that I needed Him to save me.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I came to TVC shortly after marrying Twyla. We wanted to start our relationship in a church that was theologically sound and valued deep community. After being members here for about 4 years, the opportunity opened up to join the staff doing work I really enjoy.

Book/Movie/TV Show Recommendation and Why
There are a lot, but here's two:
1) G.K. Chesterton's "Orthodoxy" - It has a section that explores God's enjoyment of the ordinary that I've found super helpful.
2) C.S. Lewis' "The Great Divorce" - A story exploring the relationship between our present experience and heaven/hell.

TED Talk Subject & Why
If it wasn't something technical, I'd probably talk about how we relate with each other. I think a lot of the anxiety/anger we experience, especially when it comes to divisive issues, comes from having those conversations outside of genuine connection. As Christians, it also reveals that we're not applying the Imago Dei to those people.

Probably a soldier or spy.

I've done less since having kids, but I enjoy video games, especially RPGs like Skyrim or survival games like Subnautica.
