In this 2-year Residency position, I will be joining a team that is researching, building, and launching a brand new Disability Care ministry for TVC. As part of the Care department, this position helps to support individuals, caregivers, and families.
When and how did the Lord save you?
Although I grew up in church and was raise in a Jesus-loving home, the Lord captured my heart in late middle school at a youth camp I attend with a friend from school. It was then I recognized that I needed Jesus and wasn't able to "earn" my way into Heaven, no matter how good I was.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
My family and I moved to the DFW area during the summer of 2012 for work. We visited several churches in the area, but fell in love with the people of TVC and decided to plant our family roots here.
Book/Movie/TV Show Recommendation and Why
I am not much of a reader or a movie buff, so TV shows are more my speed. I would recommend Gilmore Girls, The Office, or Survivor for different reasons. I love the Hallmark-feel of Gilmore Girls and the close relationship between the mom and daughter. The Office is hilarious and a good option to have playing in the background when taking care of household chores. Survivor is my favorite reality show because it depicts real relationships, ethical strategy, and includes a touch of suspense.

Fictional Character Friend & Why
I would be friends with Leslie Knope because I admire her optimist, cheerful attitude. She is hard-working and passionate about her job and is super ambitious. I love that Leslie is loyal and has a strong set of values and beliefs that she doesn't compromise on.
Favorite Hobby
My favorite hobby is playing Carcassone. A dear friend introduced me to the board game about 5 years ago and I've been playing daily on my phone every since. It is my favorite downtime activity and I enjoy it because it involves strategy and no two games are the same.
