When and how did the Lord save you?
I grew up in Nebraska... Ever since I could remember, my family has been involved in our local church... In my sophomore year of high school, the Lord turned me away from myself and toward His marvelous light. I started to believe with my heart that Jesus was Lord. At the same time, I was placed with a mentor who showed me firsthand what it looked like to have a relationship with God in a deeper, more meaningful way. I was also blessed with a strong Christian community that encouraged and strengthened one another in our walks with the Lord.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
When my husband and I moved to Texas in 2012, we wanted a church that preached the Bible and where we could find deep community. Our church search began at TVC, where we quickly found ourselves at home. We became members in 2013, joined a home group, and have served in various spaces at TVC during our time at TVC.

Book/Movie/TV Show Recommendation and Why
The Harry Potter series was the first book that opened my love for reading. The complex characters and their development over the series are realistic and teach lessons on courage, loyalty, and friendship.
