Top 3-5 Responsibilities
I shepherd our church body through worship leadership and exhortation in a variety of gatherings. I develop worship leaders through our residency, volunteer care, and student worship academy program. I oversee all of our volunteer ministry leads and participate in administration for worship in various ministries throughout the church.

When and how did the Lord save you?
Being raised as a pastor's kid, I remember my parents faithfully teaching me about the saving work of Christ. The Lord saved me at the young age of six, but I did not fully understand what it meant to make my faith my own until I attended a youth camp in junior high... At my lowest, I experienced thoughts of suicide. It wasn’t until the end of my sophomore year of college that the Lord graciously picked me up and showed me that I had been made acceptable to God in Christ alone... He turned my desperate need for approval into a desperate desire for people to feel the same love and comfort I experienced through the gospel.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I joined The Village’s Dallas Northway campus (now Northway Church) while attending Dallas Baptist University in 2010... After graduating from college, I was a worship intern at the Flower Mound campus for two years, where I met my wife, Kellie. We stayed at TVC as members and volunteers for the next few years until I had the opportunity to join the staff full time in 2020. I was drawn to TVC because of the gospel saturated teaching, spirit filled worship, and genuine community where it was okay to not be okay.

Book/Movie/TV Show Recommendation and Why
It's an incredibly short read, but Tim Keller's "The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness: The Path to True Christian Joy" was groundbreaking for me when I first read through it a couple of years ago. He calls the reader into a deeper understanding of what humility truly means in light of our true identity as children of God. Instead of an inflated ego or self-deprecation, we can walk in humility by shifting our focus away from self toward a life centered on loving God and others.

TED Talk Subject & Why
I would talk about pickleball and how it's so much easier of a game than tennis (as well as more entertaining) :)

Childhood Dream Job
Professional baseball player

Fictional Character Friend & Why
I feel like forming an alliance with Dwight Schrute from The Office would be difficult at first but prove to be beneficial in the long run. He is a protective to a fault... He's a survivalist... You'll have to get past his quirks and intense personality, but he's fiercely loyal to his friends... He also has comic relief for days.

Favorite Hobby
I am a major Dallas Mavericks fan and try my best to never miss a game. Attending an NBA game in person is one of my favorite experiences, especially playoff basketball.
