Role
The Next Gen Ministry Summer internship exists primarily to train, equip, and provide experience to current and future Next Gen leaders who have a desire to grow in their ability to serve and minister to Children, Students and Young Adults. Interns will assist the Next Gen Ministry in making disciples through developing relationships and supporting different elements of summer programming.
Interns will participate in multiple development and training opportunities throughout the internship for education, training, and mentoring purposes.
The Next Gen Ministry Summer Intern reports to the Minister, Student & Young Adult Director. This is a full-time, unpaid internship that will start on May 19, 2026 and will end on August 9, 2026. Interns will receive a $1,500 stipend in June and a $1,500 stipend in July as an investment into their training and development.
Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Next Gen ministry team in kids, student, and young adult summer programming including VBS, Student Summer Camp, Summer Theology Class, Student Hangs, Summer Service events, and many other activities.
- Assist in the planning of events for students, kids, and young adults.
- Lead groups in various Next Gen spaces (Kids Village, Little Village, Student Camp, YA Summer Nights)
- Participate in multiple development and training opportunities provided during the internship
